Danielle's journey into the world of art began at a young age in Northern California. Her passion was nurtured by her artistic mother and supportive parents, who encouraged her to explore her creativity. This foundation led her to study art in college with a focus on oil painting.



In 2006, Danielle embarked on a new chapter by starting a tattoo apprenticeship. This experience was transformative, as she discovered a deep connection to the art of tattooing. It was during this time that she met Carlos, her future husband. The two shared a profound love for art, which laid the groundwork for a strong friendship.

After completing their apprenticeships, Danielle and Carlos pursued their careers separately. Despite the distance, they continued to support each other's artistic endeavors. Destiny brought them back together, and they realized their bond was stronger than they had imagined. Their journey took a significant turn in 2011 when they moved to Alaska, captivated by its breathtaking scenery and vibrant energy.

In Alaska, Danielle and Carlos began working at Primal Instinct Tattoo. Their relationship blossomed, leading to their marriage in 2013. Their family grew with the birth of their first child in December 2019 Their commitment to their craft and each other led them to purchase Primal Instinct Tattoo in June 2020. By May 2022, they celebrated the arrival of their second child, solidifying their family and business in Alaska.

Danielle enjoys exploring a wide variety of tattoo styles, including black and grey realism, color realism, neo-traditional, and blackwork. She is passionate about creating large, intricate pieces that allow her to invest significant time with clients, fostering a strong artist-client bond. Her dedication to her craft and her ability to connect with clients make her easy and fun to work with.

Today, Danielle and Carlos are not just partners in life but also in business. They continue to own and operate Primal Instinct Tattoo, drawing inspiration from their surroundings and each other. Their journey is a testament to the power of passion, love, and creativity in building a fulfilling life together.
